Overview

Our employment practice advises multinational groups, international investors and Greek businesses on all aspects of Greek employment law, with particular experience in workforce matters arising from international M&A transactions, corporate restructurings and post-closing integrations. We advise on employee transfers, business-transfer rules and related employee information and post-closing workforce integration.

We regularly assist international and domestic clients with the drafting, review and negotiation of employment agreements, executive contracts, incentive arrangements, employment policies and internal regulations, ensuring compliance with Greek employment legislation and, where appropriate, alignment with group-wide standards. Our team also advises on day-to-day employment matters, HR compliance, remote-working arrangements, working-time organisation and employment-related filings and interactions with the competent authorities.

We advise on sensitive and contentious employment matters, including disciplinary procedures, terminations, whistleblowing investigations and employment disputes, providing practical and commercially focused solutions. We also advise on the employment-law implications of regulatory and compliance frameworks, including data protection and employee privacy, workplace health and safety, diversity and inclusion, and relevant ESG-related workforce requirements.

Our practice combines detailed knowledge of the Greek employment-law framework with an understanding of the needs of multinational businesses operating across jurisdictions, enabling us to provide practical advice that is consistent with both local requirements and international HR and governance standards.
